Anke Roost Head of Early Education

I have been at GISB since 2019 as Head of Elementary School and now Head of Lower Campus. I am a trained kindergarten teacher, social worker, and teacher for secondary subjects: German, German as a Foreign Language, Math, History, Politics, Biology, and Ethics.

Favorite memory of GISB:

My favorite memory was teaching a science class on the topic: “School in the 50’s”. The students and I dressed up like in the 50s, and we wrote on slates and played 50s games in the yard.

I am a dog owner and love to go on hiking tours with my lovely dog Lotti. I love reading, owning a library of more than 7,000 books, and being a member of the Bigelow Library in Clinton, MA. I also love all Ball sports, especially Handball, and love cooking, and traveling.

At GISB since:

“The best part is the cultural diversity, the open way of dealing with each other, the very good cooperation with the parents, and the close cohesion in this community.”
