For Families
As an International School, we invite parents and guardians to be actively involved in our school community.
We value the partnership with our families and engage with them in many ways. This page provides resources for parents and guardians of our students and is a great starting point to orient yourself as a new family. Parent engagement is an important part of our school life, and we hope you explore the many opportunities to get involved. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us at info@gisbos.org.

Covid-19 Response
Staying safe while providing an exceptional educational experience
Following guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Massachusett’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), GISB has developed Safety Standards and Procedures for the 2022-2023 school year with the goal to continue to be safe while providing an exceptional educational experience.
- GISB follows CDC guidelines for masking based on the community level as reported by the CDC. GISB may temporarily mandate masks in individual classrooms, grade levels, or sections based on COVID numbers in the school.
- Physical and social distancing measures have been discontinued, including cohorts.
- Extracurricular activities, day and overnight field trips are permitted.
- Parents and other visitors are allowed to enter the school buildings.
- Symptomatic rapid testing is available in the Health Office.
- GISB continues to follow CDC guidelines for quarantine and isolation.
Vaccinations & Boosters
We encourage everyone who is eligible to please get vaccinated and receive a booster. For the continued safety of our community, it is important to have everyone vaccinated who can safely do so. Please see the Massachusetts Covid-19 vaccination website for more information.
