GISB on the Move — Fundraising in 2024/25

“GISB on the Move” is our fundraising theme of the year, highlighting our exciting transformation as we prepare to move our Lower Campus and make improvements to our Upper Campus. We’ve already held a community-wide run bridging the Holton campus to the new Watertown location and hosted a lively party with music and dancing for our parents and staff.

Throughout the school year, we invite you to support key initiatives to make a difference at GISB. The Annual Fund runs year-round to enhance and sustain vital school programs. Each Fall, the Parent Council encourages all families to contribute to the Teacher Appreciation Fund as a meaningful way to thank our dedicated teachers and staff. Throughout the year, various student groups and community organizations may organize fundraisers for specific causes, such as the Abiball graduation celebration. Please note that event details may be adjusted to meet community needs and schedules.

We will also reach out to you twice during the year: once at the end of the calendar year and again during our annual spring fundraising campaign.

Whether you are new to GISB or a long-time member of our community, we encourage you to mark your calendars and participate. Your support of the GISB Annual Fund is vital to our success. Together, let’s make this year unforgettable!

Ways to Donate

Make an online donation – options include Venmo, PayPal, and credit card. Please note that processing fees apply.

Checks from a personal account, Donor Advised Fund, or Family Foundation should be made payable to “German International School Boston” or “GISB” and mailed to:

Please specify if you are supporting the Annual Fund or another fund with your check.

GISB can accept donations of appreciated marketable securities such as stocks and bonds. Please contact advancement@gisbos.org to arrange a donation of securities to GISB.

Did you know that your employer might match your donation? Many corporations in the United States match donations made by employees to non-profit organizations such as GISB. Please check if your company offers corporate matching, as this can sometimes double or triple the gift our school receives. Click here to check if your company offers a corporate matching program.

Often, payments from these platforms are processed quarterly. Therefore, please notify GISB by email with details of your gift amount and employer’s name so we can confirm receipt.
