Standortevaluierung der Gebäude in der Holton und Belmont Street

On March 26th, members of our Facility Committee embarked on a crucial phase of our project journey: site evaluation. This involved comprehensive walk-throughs of both the Holton Street and Belmont Street properties to gather essential insights into the existing condition of the buildings and lay the groundwork for defining the renovation scope.
Key Players Involved:
  • Structural Engineering: Examining the structural integrity of the buildings to identify any areas in need of reinforcement or repair.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering: Assessing the functionality and efficiency of essential systems within the properties, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Code and Fire Protection Consulting: Ensuring compliance with building codes and fire safety regulations to guarantee the safety and well-being of future occupants.
  • Landscape Architecture: Considering the outdoor spaces surrounding the buildings to enhance aesthetics and functionality, creating welcoming environments for residents or visitors.
The insights gathered from this site evaluation are invaluable as we move forward with our renovation plans. By leveraging the expertise of each team member and collaborating across disciplines, we’re poised to develop comprehensive solutions that meet the unique needs of these properties. Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to progress towards transforming our buildings on Holton Street and Belmont Street into vibrant, sustainable spaces for the GISB community to enjoy.
