GISB x SEGA School Fundraiser:
Empowering Education for Tanzania’s Future

January 16 – 26, 2024

Exciting news! GISB students are teaming up with Nurturing Minds for Secondary Education for Girls’ Advancement (SEGA) in a joint initiative for a charitable fundraiser. Save the dates from January 16 to 26 for this fantastic opportunity!

Who’s Involved:

This fundraising initiative is spearheaded by GISB students in collaboration with Nurturing Minds to SEGA, a committed organization that empowers vulnerable girls in Tanzania.

Our Fundraising Goal:

Our goal is to secure 20 computers valued at $2,000, each computer requiring $100. By contributing just $20, you cover 20% of one computer. If 100 generous individuals in our community give $20, we’ll reach our target, benefiting 140 students at SEGA.

$20 for 20% of a computer! Every contribution matters!

How You Can Make a Difference:

Your donation, made through Nurturing Minds, directly aids SEGA’s tech endeavors.

Visit GISB & Nurturing Minds’ donation page or contribute at GISB’s entrance during pick-up from Jan 16 – 26 via cash or Venmo (@Angelica_Bidlack, the lead organizer and an 11th grader at GISB).

Join us in empowering education, bridging the digital divide, and fostering a brighter future for the girls at SEGA. Your donation matters, and we appreciate your support! Your support counts!

Mission and Impact:

Nurturing Minds’ mission aligns perfectly with our goals. They aim to provide quality education, life skills, and entrepreneurial training to uplift vulnerable girls, fostering future leaders within their communities. Investing in SEGA means breaking the cycle of poverty and driving prosperity through educating and empowering girls.

The Cause:

In Tanzania, quality education means hope for progress. By investing in education, we empower Tanzanians to build their economic stability, reducing reliance on external support. Your contribution directly fuels this journey towards self-sufficiency and a brighter future for Tanzania.

Trek 4 Tech Initiative:

We’re rallying behind SEGA’s Trek 4 Tech initiative because we recognize the pivotal role technology plays in modern education and career development. Access to technology shouldn’t be a privilege but a right for all. Let’s bridge the gap by supporting SEGA in providing essential tech skills to their students.

Tech Empowerment for Girls:

Tech access isn’t just about gadgets; it’s about empowerment. It enhances education, addresses gender-specific needs, and empowers teachers. For disadvantaged schools like SEGA, technology can be transformative, fostering inclusion and preparing students for success in an ever-evolving world.
