As English teachers we realize that our students come from differing backgrounds and have various learning styles.  Their interests differ greatly as well as their levels of academic readiness in English.  In order to accommodate this reality, we create an atmosphere where students have flexibility in their learning and provide a variety of ways for them to express themselves in their work.  Through authentic assessments we can plan instruction to meet the needs of our students.

Students will be developing a strong foundation of English this year through reading, speaking, listening and writing.

The English Curriculum is divided by grade level.  In order for students to continue to make connections in their work the curriculum spirals upward each year.  This allows an overlap of skill progression from one year to the next.

We look forward to an enriching year in English.
